The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is committed to providing resources and support for injured veterans as they transition to civilian life. Among its various activities, the organization operates programs such as WWP Talk.
Research has shown that consistent mental health support is essential to both short-term and long-term recovery from PTSD and other injuries. Founded on this principle, WWP Talk offers non-clinical emotional support to veterans through weekly phone calls. By talking to trained WWP Talk teammates, participants can learn new coping skills, discuss goals, and receive non-judgmental support. All warriors, caregivers, and family members are eligible to participate in the program, and while most utilize the support line for around six months, there is no formal limit.
